A carbon footprint is the total amount of carbon produced by an individual, a product, an event, an organization or business, and so on. As we know, carbon production is the leading cause of global warming and the increasing temperature of our planet. This increasing temperature will negatively impact many areas that are important to us as a human race; including food production, drinkable water supply, livability of regions, the list goes on. We not only need to understand this topic as a society, but we also need to learn how to reduce our personal impacts on an individual basis.
Missed our event on carbon footprint or want to remember what was talked about? Click here for a recap on our January 2020 event where we had two excellent speakers teach us all about carbon footprints as well as how to reduce your personal footprint by cycling or walking instead of driving, reducing your beef consumption, and flying less.
Here is a link to the provided Excel spreadsheet (always helpful when things do the calculations for you!) and here is a link to the manual worksheet, if you prefer to do the calculations yourself.
Submit your carbon footprint below and let's keep each other accountable! We will check back in with everyone in January 2021 and see how much we have improved throughout the year. Or start now and set reduction goals for the coming year!
