Saugeen Ojibway nation & the Environment

Elisha Jones, the Lead Environmental Technician of the Saugeen Ojibway Nation Environment Office, will be joining us to talk about the the Saugeen Ojibway Nation territory and culture, the environmental research and monitoring that is happening within the Saugeen Ojibway Nation, the Coastal Waters Monitoring Program, and bioengineering.

The territory of the Saugeen Ojibway Nation includes over 2 million acres and our town of Goderich. The Saugeen Anishnaabek people are stewards and protectors of their territory and land and it is important as a community to create a mutually respectful and beneficial relationship that includes the environment.
